Our English FA Cup TV Schedule is a comprehensive overview of where and when to watch the matches this season.
FA Cup: Background
The FA Cup is the oldest national football competition in the world. Founded in 1871, the FA Cup features a knock-out competition held through several rounds across the season. It gives the opportunity for registered amateur clubs to battle their way through the competition with the hopes of playing and beating the biggest clubs in English soccer. Whether watching two massive clubs face-off in an early round, or a true David versus Goliath scenario, there are many mouthwatering matches throughout the year in this competition.
Along with the FA Cup, ESPN+ also currently provides access to Bundesliga, LaLiga, UEFA Nations League, League Cup, Championship, League One, League Two, U.S. Open Cup, International Champions Cup, Eredivisie, Danish Superliga, Chinese Super League, Indian Super League, Australian A-League, Sweden’s Allsvenskan, as well as out-of-market games in MLS and USL.
FA Cup: TV coverage
FOX Sports had the US TV and Internet rights to the FA Cup through until the end of the 2017/18 season. But in August 2018, ESPN acquired the US media rights to the FA Cup for the 2018/19 to 2021/22 seasons. The agreement brings a significant number of FA Cup matches – beginning with the First Round in November and running through the Final – exclusively to ESPN+.
Third Round coverage of the tournament begins in early January each year.
None of the games are shown on television.
