One World Sport sign Arsenal
Sign 1-year deal for “Arsenal TV” in US
Premier League side Arsenal and US TV network One World Sport have signed a 1-year broadcast deal.
The deal will see One World Sport provide delayed coverage of all Arsenal matches as well as exclusive interviews with players and coaches. One World Sports coverage of Arsenal will be presented in 3-hour blocks every Sunday on the channel. The deal covers the 2013/14 season.
“Arsenal is a world-renowned soccer club with a huge global following,” said Alexander Brown, the chief executive of One World Sports. “By adding this exciting soccer action to One World Sports, we continue to build our portfolio of soccer from some of the most accomplished clubs that the world has to offer.”
In addition to delayed matches and interviews from the Arsenal camp, One World Sport has similar deals to Chelsea and Bayern Munich delayed broadcasts on Mondays and Tuesdays, respectively. Recently, One World Sport signed an agreement with the newly form New York Cosmos of the NASL to broadcast select home matches. The deals show that One World Sport is becoming a major player in the international sports rights on US television.
