WANTS TO BECOME MAJOR SPORT PLAYER IN USA

‘One World Sport’, owned and operated by OneMedia Corp headquartered in New York City, will for the first time expand into the US domestic sports rights market. ‘One World Sport’ will broadcast 7 NY Cosmos home matches when the team returns to the field after 30 years to the current North American Soccer League.

The acquisition of NY Cosmos broadcast rights is part of a major campaign on the part of One World Sport to become a major player in the ever expanding field of sports broadcasters in the United States. Earlier, One World Sport announced that the network will go High Definition of its broadcast on August 1, 2013; new domestic programming; new on-air talent, corporate and digital branding and graphics makeover; and what it states is a first-of-its-kind global sports ticker.

Currently, One World Sport is available on Dish Network (channel 9794 & 646 in Int’l Sports pack); Optimum TV (channel 1159); and select Mediacom cable providers (in Iowa).

One World Sports’ exclusive coverage includes: the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Asian soccer qualifiers; Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League; Australia A-League, Japan J.League, China Super League and Korea K-League soccer; the Chinese Basketball Association; Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), including the home games of the Yomiuri Giants and games of the NPB’s Pacific League teams; and the OneAsia Golf Tour. The network also broadcasts the world’s best competitions for table tennis, badminton and squash — covering the ITTF Table Tennis Pro Series, the BWF Badminton Super Series and PSA Championship Squash.
